MD+A Designs for DogTags | 03/18/2009

McCabe Duval + Associates recently teamed up with FetchDog, to develop packaging for a special edition dog toy called the “Chewy Shoe” (a red, white and blue chewy shoe with a tug rope lanyard). The Chewy Shoe is an initiative of the not-for-profit organization, Puppies Behind Bars.

Puppies Behind Bars trains prison inmates to raise service dogs. DogTags is a program managed by Puppies Behind Bars, and under this program, inmates train puppies to become service dogs for injured soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Chewy Shoe is a joint initiative of Vibram, a military footwear company, and FetchDog. For each product sold, $2 will be donated to the DogTags program.

“We were delighted to assist with such a terrific charity,” said Constance McCabe, agency founder and Creative Director. “We’re a very dog-centric group which made the work fun, and it is very rewarding to know that the project is helping disabled veterans.”
